Most engagements start with a fundraising assessment and a plan.
I work with a small number of organizations at a time, and I'm hands-on: I lead strategy, build trackers, write briefing documents, and prep asks.
What you can count on
Your donor relationships stay with your organization. So does everything I build, from the fundraising plan, to fudnraising systems, templates, and outreaches.
I work alongside your team, not in place of it. My goal is to make you and your team more effective.

What does a fractional development director do?
I partner with you to run your fundraising. This includes developing your strategy, prospect list, funder prep, proposals and reports, and project manage everything. You keep the relationships and open the doors.
How is this different from hiring a grant writer?
A grant writer produces the documents you ask for. I decide which funders to pursue, in what order, with what case, and then I write, prep, and follow through.
What size organization is the right fit?
Nonprofits with budgets between $500K and $2M are my sweet spot. I take on a small number of organizations outside that space each year.
Do you work with organizations outside Washington, DC?
Yes. I'm based in Washington, DC, and most of my work is remote, with in-person time when it matters.
Do you guarantee fundraising results?
No one can promise a grant or a gift! What I can promise is a plan, the work behind it, and a kind answer when something isn't working.
